Add Thumbnails to All Images in Explorer
      #371367 - Thu Nov 08 2007 11:40 PM

Xentient Thumbnails is a great free utility that replaces all the image icons on your desktop + Windows Explorer with a thumbnail preview of the image.

This is brilliant because for years I've been having to click Views>Thumbnails to see the image previews.

Now I see image previews in all the view options

Requires a restart after installing.

Am I to understand then that EVERY pic stored on your computer would become a miniture sized pic and the number would be with it?. Clearly if this is right, it might make life easier as I'm sure hardly anyone actually names each pic.

So if this is right, if you have several photographic suites and every pic is available on each site, if everyone is has this mini pic, won't it clog up the hard drive?

Not sure! The program doesn't seem to slow my system down at all.

But do you have a mini pic for every photo on your system now?.

Yes, the pics are only the size of the icon was though, so on the standard view they are very small. Better than before though.

Thankyou. I am well impressed. Clicking on a folder via My Documents before, simply showed a column of number/letters, now though I have a very mini pic, but easily identifiable so that life is just that bit easier.

Great, glad you like it

It works even better with Vista as Vista defaults to larger thumbnails than XP.
