Near the top and bottom of my monitor there appears to be a very thin white line going across the screen like a 'scrape' albeit very thin and faint but it's there. Anyone know what could cause this and if I can get rid of it ?

What type of monitor is it? A bulky CRT or a flat LCD screen?
