I have been posting on the "hijack this log" and have got a few problems sorted out thanks to bricat.
But i'm still plagued by various problems heres a few of them
I can't connect to the internet through my account only through my daughters when i try to connect through mine i get an error 691 message.
I can't change the appearance of my control panel to classic view.
When i type an @ symbol i get an "
All the programmes i have downloaded to my desktop have to be re loaded or i get error message usually connected to my registry.
On the two occasions i have been able access the internet through my account my task bar is not showing avg,my firewall and robotform has got an x through.
I also noticed that my recycle bin is sat at the bottom left of my screen except when i hve managed to connect to the internet then it mysteriously jumps to top left 
Has anybody got any suggestions

It sounds to me as if your account doesn't have Administrator privileges. Go to Control Panel, User Accounts and look at yours. Does it have admin rights?

In that case I would think your own account has become corrupted. I would create a new account for yourself, get it set up the way you like and then delete your old one.

I have started to create a new account but when i try to connect to the internet i still get the error 691 message!

That's probably because you haven't setup your internet connection yet in Control Panel.

I'm not sure what passwords you mean. Internet Explorer doesn't require a password. Do you mean the password given to you by your ISP?

Why don't you log onto your ISP's home page and use the "Forgotten my password" link?
