Hi all
I hope someone can help me.
A friend of mine has a Netgear DSL-G604T Wirless router and DWL-G122 USB wireless adapter but fails to connect to the Internet. In "wireless network" tab it's says it connected but it just fails to see the Internet.
I brought his whole kit around to my house to see if I could get it to work on my Broadband but I have the same problem. I even tried my laptop to his router but still no luck.So I assume it's some setting on the modem that's wrong.
Also,I can't seem to make a "secured" connection. and, I not able to change the name of the network. I've connected to the modem properties and changed it in there, but it always reverts back to the default name.
Would somebody be able to help me please?
Thank you very much

The first problem I've got is that I can only find a DSL-G604T that is made by Belkin ( here's an example). Is that what you've got?

According to D-Link you need to do this Quote:
Simple web based configuration, connect your PC to the router using either the supplied Ethernet cable or using a wireless link (wireless network adapter required) then plug the router into an ADSL microfilter and follow the supplied instructions for entering your ADSL account information on the router. Setup can be performed from any PC on the network using a standard web browser, full instructions provided.
to get it working.
At your own house did you (a) connect the router to your t/p line via a filter, (b)connect it to your PC using an ethernet cable and (c) feed in to the router YOUR OWN name and password?
