I like the speed o2 offers me its a lot more stable then AOL,and cheaper 16 meg for 10.00 .
My Q isi have not cancelled my aol account yet as i wanted to see what o2 was like for service.
I would still like to carry on using aol and all its features ie:chat:messageboards, but i dont want to pay another 25.00 a month for it. Does aol still do bring your own access? if so anyone know how much it costs?
thanks if you reply

AOL can always be accessed with your screenname on its web site at www.aol.com
And 25 pounds for AOL! You should have give them a Bell and they'd put you on AOL Silver with an 8 MB link with a free router upgrade (for about 18 pounds or less) You did say you were trying O2 and You have Had I assume no MAC transfer code from AOL?
At the end of the day your BBlink is limited by the Wiring to your house and the Distance from the exchange....I cannot make more than 2MB on both my Netgear router or BT Voyager 105 (and am 2 miles from the exchange) Its false economy to switch to another company and "expect" the link to be any faster! Only good BB tips I can give are, Get a Big hard drive (above 120 GB) and up your Memory to at least 1 GB It does help when Viewing video streams Otherwise the computer shows clips in fits & starts!! And Tip 2, Set your Temp files to auto delete when you switch off (setting in Internet Explorer)
Hi Loney, I've been with AOL silver for 12 months now having rec'd their free router. My contract period has ended and as I have Sky TV package I thought I'd look at their Broadband deals. I'm paying £14.99 month to AOL and was thinking of Sky £5 month. However, I wanted to run both together for a bit to see how Sky performs. I see from your post that you may have done just that. Are there any probs in doing that and whats the process? - just sign up as if a new customer? Cheers
Ok mouse, thanks for that. I had a feeling that might be the situation. I'll have to rethink and investigate a bit more be fore taking the plunge with Sky as I've heard mixed reports.
