This is a message on behalf of mother in law, she has not long phoned and said that she can't connect to her broadband.
She is using Tiscali with the standard supplied Sagem modem. Says both green lights on modem are static, but message on screen keeps asking to redial. No settings have been changed and there's not normally a problem.
Does anyone know what this could be? I would go round and have a look but kids are in bed and I'm here on my own. Can't do help over the phone as I don't know what to look for.

Tiscali had a major service outage last night. According to their web page everything should have been back to normal by 7.30 this morning but their call centres have been overwhelmed (hardly surprising!!!). They reckon that rebuilding your connection with the Tiscali CD might solve any remaining problems.

Kind of guessed it was a problem at their end, but still felt guilty that I couldn't help at the time.
Mother in law emailed me this morning, normal service was resumed.
