reconnecting belkin router

After using the Belkin wireless router for 2 weeks the light under the world symbol went from green to red and I could no longer connect to the internet I found that BT was upgrading the exchange where I live then they had to tell my ISP talktalk and this has taken a week of me not being online I eventually got back on line using the talktalk modem but the belkin router still has the red warning light on and i still cannot connect could you help me out please belkin wireless router f5d7632-4 ver 5000uk my op sys is xp

Hi ton2,
have you tried resetting your belkin router to the factory settings and starting again from scratch..
