non removable files
      #369623 - Thu Oct 25 2007 12:57 AM

Hi I have a annoying error box relating to Quick time then a message to report the error or not, I also get a small box that Headed VIA Audio Deck then below it says "Can not find the skin Bitmap".
I have tried to uninstall Quicktime from Add/Remove I then get following message
"the following file does not exist or is not a valid uninstallation log file",
I have also tried to remove it using my Ashampoo Uninstaller and get the same message with the line
C:\windows\system32\quicktime\uninstall log.
Any advice please. its not effecting anything except the Boot up takes longer I have been saying no to the report box and then the PC continues as normal/
Cheers

Bubblablue.
I had a look at the link but never resolved the problems I then had a look at some of my settings after altering a couple that never seemed to change anything I reset them as before and hey presto got rid of the Quick time error do,nt ask what I did though. but still got a box saying "can not find bitmap" then I get the Send error report yes or no do,nt matter witch I click but its okay until I reboot. I can live with it but just annoys me, I think the PC is booting a bit faster now though.
Thanks. Jimmyp

Hello jimmyp. I think the way these computers are going we are all going to have to live with their complexities. I just wish I had my old vic20 or amstrad oh for the salad days.

High Man. I just crave for the simpler approach everything has gone to pot, everything now seems so complex.

Hello Burrwalnut. "Who got out on the wrong side of the bed today" or is this bitchiness on your part a consequence of a night out on razzle.

Just being myself I’m afraid. It was intended to be humorous with a hint of annoyance at those who nostalgically speak of ‘the good old times’.

You’re obviously an oversensitive person who yearns for yesterday, I‘m not.

I wish you luck in all that you endeavour.
