Where from? New CD RW
      #369369 - Tue Oct 23 2007 08:32 AM

I have a Dell Dimension 3100C.
I need to fit an internal Sony DVD-CD RW, appart from buying from Dell (which I don't want to do) I can't seem to find a reliable place to buy from. I tried to fit an LG RW but the motherboard leads were unsuitable so I took it back to Currys. They don't sell Sony.

Is this in addition to the current drive?

If it's it's a replacement I don't see why you need a Sony. Any DVD-RW with an IDE connection will work with that computer. You can get decent 16X DVD-RW with dual layer etc for less than £30.

OK OK I can't go any faster! aaaaaaaaaaaagh!

Thank you.
I went to PC World who explained that I had bought the one with wrong leads from Currys.Currys gave me my money back as they had none left. I'm not a fan of PC W. So I didn't buy one from them!
