hi all can i get some help please thanks is it possible to have vista and Xp on one computer i have vista and xp mce 2005 but in my last post its not working i was going to do a clean instal of xp pro will it be possible?

Yes you can have Vista and XP on the same PC. It's a whole lot easier to do it with Vista installed first and XP second. Have a look at this for advice.

thanks so much But.... a get a BSOD (blue screen of death) when booting the xp pro disc after it says Setup Is Starting or whatever it is then i get a blank screen for 2 secs then the BSOD please help!!!

hi i did the thing on that site got to the windows xp disc stage and it was a bsod however i had xp orangally installed i did a clean vista on a differnt partiton due to xp not working but now that i got a xp disk i would like to have the 2

***UPDATE*** i have now formatted the windows xp partiton nothing is on it tryed xp disk and bsod pleassssssssssse somebody help its urgent thanks alot for whoever can help out

So let's get this straight. You have two partitions on your hard disk. The first one contains Vista and the second one is empty. Have you formatted the second partition using the NTFS system? Can you access that partition from within Vista, Computer, Manage? If you can, have a look at this link for some more help. If your XP CD continually fails to load I would suggest there is something wrong with it.

did what it said on the site and still get bsod i have tryed 3 windows xp disks 2 pro 1 home sp1 what is wrong? i formatted using vista set up from the last link and just restarted computer then it wouldnt boot then used vista to fix that then it booted up fine the first link mentioned easy BCD should i download this just now ------------------ thanks so much for your help even though im not getting anywere

Where did you get three different XP CDs from? Are they all full bootable versions that have not been installed on any other computer?

i got 2 pro's from the net 1 is oem i think home one is hp sp1 from friends computer

That's where I stop this thread dead. Downloading stolen software from the net is neither clever nor legal. You've got a problem of your own making and you will get no further help from this forum.
