Firefox & Spybot
      #368940 - Thu Oct 18 2007 05:13 PM

Hi

Whenever I use Firefox I wlways get dodgy cookies picked up that I don't get when im using IE.

Im assuming this is because Spybot does not immunize firefox. However I noticed the latest version does which is 1.5.1.15. I have 1.4.

I noticed on this download page http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Spybot_Search_and_Destroy/1043809773/1
that someone left a review saying
'I normally like this program, BUT this version killed a critical DLL on two XP machines, identifying it as a spyware. I don't know exactly what it did, but the machines wouldn't boot anymore. I reinstalled XP on one, couldn't bother with the other.'

I wondered if this problem had been fixed because I don't want to risk it but I am also very annoyed that I keep getting this stuff through.

There are no problems with my security software as I have the following installed:

Norton AntiVirus,
Webroot SpySweeper,
Ad Aware SE,
Spybot S&D,

Thanks and any other advice would be appreciated.
