im thinking of buying a laptop from pcworld or currys and was wondering if the software ie the OS will come pre installed ready to go shall we say

I've just had another look at that laptop and it seems to be woefully short of the various ports that any good laptop should have. Look at this as an example and compare all the extra ports you get such as Express card, VGA, TV out etc.
