I had the flight simulator on 4.2 up and running a short time ago. Despite being able to access it via "Tools" and getting it to display airport and plane, it now won't begin to fly. Can anyone help?

When I tried out this for the first time i had the same prob-until i realized that I had to use Page Up and Page Down to work the throttle and not the scrolling up/down arrows . Try that- although by now I`m sure you`ll have already worked it out.
