Hi all
I have recently been given, by a friend, a wireless keyboard & mouse (Labtec}. I have also got the installation Cd but, of course, when i tried it didn,t want to know the Vista OS.
My question is, is it possible to obtain software to get things like this to work on vista or, if it wasn't built to run on vista then is that the end of the story?
I tried the Labtec website without success.

It's worth trying without the Labtec software. Any special keys will be inoperable but give it a try. At worst you will have to reboot if you lose the keyboard/mouse :-
Plug the transmitter/receiver into the USB port. Make sure it's recognised then try the mouse only. Keep the keyboard away or remove its battery as applicable.
If the mouse works, give it a thorough test, e.g. all buttons/wheel then remove the existing mouse and try the keyboard.
If the keyboard works remove the existing one.

Thanks BurrWalnut
Just to let you know, the mouse works fine but the keyboard won't work at all. Still that's 50% success.
I feel stupid that i didn't think to just give it a go but i worry that i might do some serious damage.
