Picasa - uploading
      #366471 - Tue Sep 25 2007 11:26 PM

I've got just over 2000 photos in 108 folders on my hard drive that I'd like to upload to picasa in order to back them up. I've just been having a look at Picasa and have figured out how to upload one folder at a time, but to do this for 108 would be laborious in the extreme. Does anyone know how I could upload them in one go once I've upgraded my storage? Thanks. Glynn.

Perhaps you're looking at the wrong type of back up process? Places like Picasa and Photobucket are usually used for people that upload their most recent photos, i.e. this years holiday, the recent birthday bash, live concert etc.

If you're looking to upload all at once, and moreso for backup purposes, rather than sharing with others, then I think you need to take a look something like Carbonite, thread discussion here or external storage, like an external drive.

Have a look at this link . . . . . >> Picasa Help - How do I create a backup? for a different sort of backup which you may require.

Thanks for the replies. It was the £25 Hints & Tips letter in the latest edition of WU that got me thinking about it. He used Flickr which I had a look at. I didn't particularly like it though.
