Following on from my prvious post 13/09/07 I'm still no further forward but have now found out that over a year ago BT installed BB to a neighbour over a mile further away from the same exchange as us and their line goes right past our house. BT are questioning the cost outlay to connect us as well as still saying we are on a joint dax even though BT Wholesale shows no record of this. Tiscali again are dragging their heals having promised they would escalate this and come back to me yesterday. Guess what, no reply!!!!!! Can anyone out there help as I am now desparate for a solution to this. How do you contact the Webuser Consumer Champion? Ian

Is there an alternative solution as in getting cable broadband? Have the cables been installed in your street, road or area?

Thanks for the response to my ranting.
Unfortunately live in rural area outside of Swansea and only cable is Virgin and they havn't come out to us yet, even though they have one of thier call centres in the City, about 10 miles from here. Doubt they ever will come out here, hence why having to rely on BT with their inability to make a decision and Tiscali unable to stand up for their customer.
Have sent another stinking mail to Tiscali outlining their incompetence demanding immediate action and compensation. Doubt I'll get anywhere but it did make me feel better.
I have also been on to the Welsh Assembly Government, who have a BB initiative at the moment. They are trying to ensure everyone gets BB enabled and if you are having problems they will stick their oar in to try and help. If they can't help, your area gets logged as a "Not Spot" supposedly making BT feel bad!! (water off a ducks back if you ask me). It could be my last resort though with a Member of Parliament taking on my case. Thanks Ian

Have a look at this <<click>>
Although I don't know of anyone who uses this service, it may be worth you contacting them for more information.

Many thanks for the posting. Tiscali have now escalated my BB order, just have to wait and see now. I will bear in mind the Virgin Media package should I be unsuccessful with Tiscali. Thanks again.
