I am about to start to try and create a web site In order to get a quick result, I am thinking of using one of the free programmes with templates etc, and then gradually try to learn and use Frontpage and or Dreamweaver. QUESTION: If I create an initial site in the way mentioned above, will I be able to incorporate it in a site created with the use of Frontpage and/or Dreamweaver?

If your starting out and have access to Dreamweaver then use that rather than front page, what you could do to speed things up is go to http://www.freecsstemplates.org/ then modify the template to look how you wish, this way you have site with sound working code to practice with while you learn.

There's loads of free css/xhtml sites out there where you can download free templates
Just google search 'free css templates'

You can create a page in any program you like so long as you can view the HTML that the program just created for you.... if you then upgrade to say Dreamweaver then just copy and paste the HTML into DW and it will do the rest.

Make shift "DIY website" programs don't produce very effective websites for visuals or functionality; however you would be able to edit it with a html editor; such as expression web or dreamweaver.
Learning as you go is the best way to go about it; however i would advise against using software to make a website for you...
If you need any more advise, feel free to email me.
