SYNC SPEEDS
      #365340 - Sun Sep 16 2007 12:28 AM

What causes reductions in sync speeds ? A month ago I had reasonable sync speeds on my ADSL Max, the BT Speed Test gave me 4000 kbps/448/5472/3734 which I was quite satisfied with. Then everything steadily deteriorated, with no changes to my wiring or equipment I reduced down to a profile of 3000kpbs/448/5154/2782. My ISP have finally got BT engineers to have a look, they replaced my Master Socket box, told me I have a capability of around 5.2. Since their visit a couple of days ago my speeds have dropped again and my latest stats are looking a miserable 2500/448/3360/2315 !!! I have tried just about everything I know, gone direct into the master socket, changed the cable, re-booted the router but all to no avail. Advice gratefully received.
