403 Forbidden

I've just connected my new laptop to a network using a belkin usb network adaptor, its found and connected to the network but when i load internet explorer i get "403 forbidden" and "you were denied access because: access denied by access control list" in the blank web page. Ive tried different addresses but get the same response for them all. The laptop is running vista, help would be most appreciated, thanks

In Internet Explorer, click Tools > Internet Options > Connections > Lan Settings.

Make sure there is no tick next to Use proxy server
