Hello.. i cant access registry when i run regedit from RUN it says "Windows can not access the specified device , path , or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
The Regedit.exe file is in the windows directory so its not missing.. says the same thing when i try double clicking it.
i think this started happening after installing and uninstalling Kaspersky antivirus. right now i run norton. so i think maybe kaspersky has something to do with it. maybe not.
anyways... your help would be appritiated.
thank you

Do Task Manager and CMD (command prompt) run properly?

In that case it's not what I thought it was.
I'd try uninstalling Norton to see if regedit works. You can always reinstall it or something else, e.g. AVG.
