Wifi and Virgin Media modem
      #363255 - Tue Aug 28 2007 08:58 PM

Just moved and have Virgin Media broadband media cable connection to my wireless laptop. Want to connect wireless router so that i can use it and my mobile wireless but use cable for quicker cable connection when laptop is used at desk. The modem does not have any connection to another router. Any ideas anyone please?

Make sure you buy a wireless cable/dsl router (without modem) like these.
You would then connect the router between the cable modem and your PC/laptop via ethernet cable for intial set up. Then you are free to use wireless.
