I have been a Tiscali customer since Nov 06 and have had no complaints until now. Until recently I have been able to view BBC News 2 Live video stream and have a second monitor set up for this purpose. A few weeks back this stopped working and according to BBC Tech help, this is because Tiscali have issued me with a non-UK IP address and because the BBC News 24 Live streame is a UK service only, I can't view this service. Tiscali have not been helpful, promising to ring me and help but they haven't been in touch, has anyone else suffered this problem? any suggestions

I thought Tiscali used dynamic IP addressing rather than static. Are you using a router or the original Tiscali modem? If a router, try resetting it so that you get a new IP address for it.

Thanks for your help but I am using a Netgear Router /Modem anot the tiscali original modem and yes you are correct in saying that Tiscali issue dynamic IP addresses and I have tried a number of occassions to obtain a different IP address but this does not rectify the problem

Have you checked that after you reset the router that it receives a different IP address from Tiscali. Without giving me the complete IP address can you tell what the first 6 characters of the address are, something like 168.145,xxx.xxx
