Burning video (home) onto DVD
      #362386 - Tue Aug 21 2007 03:52 PM

When I try to save my camcorder video onto dvd the video is copied ok but when it goes to burn onto the dvd I get and error message:

Burning Failed Sensekey (6), ASC(29), ASCQ(0)

Have you any idea what I can do to rectify this message? I am using a dvd rw disk and ahve a 'Multi Format Dual Layer DVD-RW (16x) drive.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Andrew

Hi Andrew,
I'm not too familiar with what software you are using so I'll offer some general advice that has worked for me in the past.
If possible try dvd-r discs, these seem more reliable on most players than the +r versions. Avoid dual layer discs; the change over point between the layers always seems to create different levels of delay (if it doesn't freeze altogether).
lastly set the DVD recording speed as slow as possible, I know from a friend's experience that Pinnacle Studio was trying to burn a DVD at a speed that was faster than his burner,
regards
John
