Hi can anyone help me please. I recently installed an OEM version of Windows XP Home and due to a virus problem had to re-install following a format. Since this time I have been unable to run Outlook Express as my password is constantly rejected. I have confirmed the password with my ISP and have removed and added my account taking care that the POP3 and SMTP servers are correct. I rang Microsoft and was told this was because I had an OEM version and they would not help. I followed the advice given by "Elder Geek" to pipster and still cannot receive my messages on Outlook Express. I do not want to re-install and cannot afford to purchase new software. Using System Restore will not help as the installation is quite recent.
Thank you in advance for any advice.

what I would do is create a googlemail account here and then set up it so that you can drag it into OE by following these instructions
assuming that this works then you have configured your email account wrong, if not then you have an OE problem and we can try and take it from there

Dear skampy dog,
Many thanks for your advice which I followed to the letter. G Mail works on both Outlook Express and Thunderbird, but no luck with my ISP e mail address. I have also tried to obtain this on my laptop but again my password is rejected!
I feel that I have exhausted all other possibilities and the fault must lie with "TalkTalk".
Thanks again for your help.
Sincerely,
