Webuser Forums: The Latest eBay Scam

Just a quick warning to those who sell on eBay. The latest scam is very crafty. One of your items sells to an overseas buyer (and somehow Chinese sellers seem to be able to log IDs in Canada, Australia as well as the more obvious).

In sending the invoice, or checking the sales email you may notice that the sellers name is something like HGFHFHFHF and the address is similar.

What is going on, but trying to get eBay to understand is pretty hard, is that they buy an item, wait for you to get in touch (along the lines of invoice or Why haven't you paid?) and then they secure your email address and pound you with Question from ***** all week.

Text in the questions is along these lines:

Dear friend,
There must be worthy of spending a few minutes to visit our website www.*******.com to make you get much benefit or profit. We are a large wholesale company on internet. All of our products come from original famous manufacturers with complete warranty. the price we can offer you is lower than any other retail dealers on Ebay.
Please feel free to contact us if any questions, You will get a satisfactory answer.

and my favourite:

dear friend :
Please allow us to disturb your precious time!
We are the Chinese biggest foreign trade wholesaler.
We have our own warehouse and stores, we have clients all over the world,
and we have been received very high praise from our customers.
If you are interesting in our item ,please contact us.

Best bet is to forward them to spoof@ebay.co.uk and see if they will do anything about it.................

As mentioned, best bet is NOT to send invoices to these buyers or email.
