hey all.
i've recently set up an orange broadband connection using a livebox 44A0, a few cables and a LOTTTT of perseverance. unfortunately, while the computer connects to the internet perfectly, mine and my mum's laptops and my brother's psp aren't gracing us with an easy job and are failing to work properly.
the laptops both claim that they are connected to the wireless and have a string signal strength, but when we try to open up webpages, the page fails to open and states that 'internet explorer cannot display this webpage'.
we've been on the phone to orange twice in the past 12 hours, but no advice they've offered us has seemed to work. the ping statistics state that: packets: sent=4, received= 0, lost= 4 <100% loss>
we've turned firewall off and it still fails to work properly. does anybody have any ideas, please?? are there any settings we need to apply. both laptops and the psp work perfectly well with other wireless connections, such as my school connection and the neighbours' connections.
please help, any suggestions would be very much appreciated by a family who need to sort out the silly wireless connection. thank you!!

Hm, try this:
Start > Control Panel > Switch to classic view (if not already) > Network connections.
You'll see a list of the network connections (probably the wireless and a disconnected cable one too). Right click the wireless connection and click properties.

In this box, scroll (if needed) and click one on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click the Properties button.
You might find the box that appears has lots of numbers in it. This means that it has been configured manually at some point. If this is the case, set both the IP address and DNS server to "be obtained automatically" and click ok. It should look like this:

After that ok/apply out of all the menus that you opened. The system might hang for a bit while new settings are applied but don't worry. The computer should then attempt to obtain an IP address from your router and hopefully - connect. I just thought I'd suggest this because I have seen the same problem solved by the above a few times now.
If this doesnt work, I'm pretty sure someone else can get it
