Opera not displaying some images
      #359115 - Thu Jul 26 2007 09:02 PM

I've recently started using Opera 9.22 and like it, however it doesn't seem to display all images. I can go onto a site in Firefox (eg. www.tiaras-etc.co.uk) and can see all images but with Opera I only see some. If I right click, I can usually re-load the images. I've also been using online bookmarks with www.aboogy.com, and Opera AND Firefox at home don't show the images. At work (only with Firefox - I haven't got Opera installed) I do see the images.
I've tried clearing temporary internet files, running crapcleaner, but to no avail.

I sorted out the aboogy.com image issue - it was Zone Alarm preventing banner ads appearing. However still can't understand why some images need to be manually re-loaded on other sites.

I use Opera and have had a look at both the sites to which you have posted links, and have no problem seeing all the images.

Have you tried, in Opera, options bar>view>images and make sure that "show imags" and not "cached images" is ticked ?

I sorted ou the aboogy.com problem - I should have realised it was Zone Alarm, but can't understand the problem on tiaras-etc.co.uk. When I navigate around the site, not all images get loaded, so I have to right-click and refresh. As this only happens to me on my PC at home I guess its something top do with it's configuration like you suggested. However, "show all images" is selected and nowhere have I got "cached images" selected. At least I think so. I installed Opera on my work laptop and don't get this problem. I haven't done anything different. Could it be Opera timing out if the page takes too long to load? I don't think it is taking too long.
