Nameserver problem - please help
      #357990 - Tue Jul 17 2007 11:28 PM

Hi there - we've recently changed hosts and we're having a few problems from users not being able to log in. I changed the nameservers with namesco (my registrar) over 3 days ago and i'm still getting the following results from dnsstuff.com

Your NS records at the parent servers are:

ukns4.vaserv.com. [84.18.200.166 (NO GLUE)] [GB]
ukns3.vaserv.com. [84.18.200.165 (NO GLUE)] [GB]
[These were obtained from ns1.nic.uk]

This bit is correct, but further down i get

Your NS records at your nameservers are:

ns492.hostgator.com.
ns491.hostgator.com.

This is the old nameservers - can somebody please help me! I have no clue about this sort of thing and it's driving me mad as half my users can't access the site.

Thanks
Richard

Check the settings again with your Namesco account. If they seem ok, then contact them via their support system.

I had similar problem with a change to a domain name a few months ago. After 3 days got stroppy with UKreg. Only for it to be something I'd done wrong, which was obvious once they pointed it out. Had to eat much humble pie.

All the best - Duncan
