PC problem, don't know where to post this question. please help.

I've never run across this before but it's annoying and I can't figure out what's causing it. Geek Squad said they'd never heard of it.. so, here's the problem. When I log on to IE, Netscape or Firefox browsers, and my home page loads, any link I click on from that point on will open the new page but immediately flip me right back to the home page I opened to start with. Makes no difference what I use for a home page and it does it regardless of what page I manage to get too. If I'm fast enought to get to a linked page by right clicking and chosing 'open in new window', when that page opens, any links on that page will do the same thing. Let's say I make it to my banking website, when i click on my savings account, I get to it but immediatly get fipped right back to the home page of the site. Any site I manage to get to using 'open in new window' does this with every link on the page. The only way I can keep a page open is be fast enough to right click and open in new window. Has anyone experienced this problem? If so, what's happening, how do I fix it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. My computer is pretty much useless with this steadily occuring. And yes, before you ask, I've dumped all the cookies and cleared the cache but it's still happening. Since it occurs in all browsers, is this a computer problem and not a browser problem?
Thanks,
Rainy4949

You haven't said what OS you're running so I'll assume XP.

I think you will have to examine all your 'Internet Options' and/or firewall settings. Start by turning the firewall off, then carefully check the various Tabs in Internet Options.

Or you've 'caught' something.
