Bt Line problem?
      #355988 - Thu Jul 05 2007 09:42 AM

Hi,
I've recently moved into a new flat, and have ordered line rental and broadband off of madasafish. I have received confirmation that my line is now active (for talk). However on trying to use the line it appears dead, there is no ringtone. If I attempt to ring the line from another phone, the phone sounds like its ringing (although it isn't)
I removed the front of the socket (it's one of the new jobbies with the removeable bottom plate)at first I thought it wasn't wired up correctly as there where only 2 wires connected out of the bunch, however after having a look around on the net, this appears to be correct.

Basically, to cut a long story short! If there are only two wires connected in the screw terminals, is this socket connected properly?

Thanks in advance

Your line is probably connected up to some other property.
You need a BT engineer out to reroute to your house.
Report it as a fault.
