As witnessed by what's already on this site 123 has had problems in the recent past with customer service/complaints and I'm afraid despite assurances to the effect that things are getting better they aren't if my experience is anything to go by.
I recently updated info on my site and published it . A few days later I went on to do some more editing and the latest site changes were shown as mid January- in other words everything done since then has disappeared.
To add to that if I type in the url the site I get up is NOT one of those shown in the sites listed at 123 in their "all my sites " section.
I am using the site as a shop window to my business and have a marketing campaign going on asking those who respond to go to my site - because of the mess at 123 that site still has a " xmas offers" tab active!
It's a disaster from a business point of view so I would be very very careful about trusting anything 123 say about problems now resolved

just to update
Despite saying that the server was going back on line within 24 hours 6 days ago it is still not up and prospective new clients cannot access my website the "service" is a disgrace

Further update.
A week ago they still had not solved the problem and my website on display is still an old version which I cannot update.
I have spoken since to their "technical support " and was given the usual line about keeping an eye on their System Status page as it was anticipated the fix would be in place almost immediately.
I told them I had heard this story every time I made contact and asked to speak to the supervisor. After a delay I was told the supervisor was busy but would phone me back. I knew based on past experience with 123-Reg that was extremely unlikely and as I expected have heard nothing since then.
The moral of this story is be very very careful about who you use to host your web site , if possible check their down time figures etc and check with existing users via the web what their experience has been.
As I have said before I have been in business a long time and this company has the worst after sales service I have ever come across.

I'm glad I'm with 1&1. I have NEVER had any problem with them.
I will be steering well clear of 123!
