Urgent help - 1&1
      #355405 - Sat Jun 30 2007 10:58 PM

I have an account with 1&1 and have had for 6 months now.

On my first bill I got charged for 2 seos and obviously I had made a mistake and after much e-mailing I decided to let it go as I wasn't getting a refund. They told me how to cancel this and I did.

Just now I have got another invoice and its for over £45!! I'm a student and I can't offered that. How should I pursue this? Is there any chance of me getting my money back?

I am so so mad!

Let this be a warning...stay away from 1&1

My domain has cost me over £60 so far!

1&1 invoice every six months as standard. What package do you have? If you have one that costs 7.99 per month as I do, that works out about right. 1&1 are not free hosting packages.

I don't have a hosting package I only brought a domain name from them. They have charged me for 2 lots of simpleSEO and a Norton product. All of them I cancelled after my last invoice.

I don't know what's gone wrong there then, you must have signed up for something. I have used 1&1 for years and had no problems.

My site is with 1&1 and I have never had a problem like that or any billing issues.

All I can say is that you must of ticked a small box somewhere by accident to sign up for what you have been charge for without knowing it.

I am with the general agreement here, I also have a 1and1 account and billing has NEVER been an issue and I have renewed my contract with them.

Check what you signed for.

I have a root server package with 1&1 and had no real issues with them. Saying that, they were very Unhelpful when they stopped accepting my debit card and only accepted credit cards. They should have contacted all their clients using debit cards and told them of the change, instead they threatened me with bailiffs on numerous occasions.

There customer service / support is also horrendous. Your lucky if you can understand the person on the phone
