Hi hope anyone on here can help,im currently with talk talk with a maximum download speed of 8 mbps,ive done various tests online and my connection is 2.1 mbps but it says my line should be able to handle 6.3 mbps connection,ive tried to ring talk talk but never get to speak to anyone,ive now emailed them about it. Is it talk talk who are in charge of the line or is it bt?Would talk talk automatically speed it up or are they slacking?Any help would be great as i dont know how to get the full speed,many thanks in advance

Although BT own the bit of wire between your house and the exchange, TalkTalk have probably installed their own equipment in the exchange as part of the LLU process. In your TalkTalk contract have you also allowed the CarPhone Warehouse to provide your telephone services? If you have, BT will have washed their hands of you and direct you to TalkTalk for all your problems.

Just to confirm, Talk Talk are your service provider. You talk to them or not! and they talk to BT. If your line is faulty they will request a BT Openreach engineer to attend.
