Someone wants me to do a web site for them, but....
      #355039 - Wed Jun 27 2007 01:39 PM

Hi All,

Someone has asked me to build them a web site for their photographs to be showed, but they want to pay me for setting the whole thing up.

As I've designed my own web sites for myself, I haven't done a web site for a paying customer. Therefore, can I ask what would be a reasonable rate to charge to a person I know through a club? This is after the cost of buying the space and domain, basically what do I charge for my time.

I'll have other questions to ask soon about some features.

Cheers

Hi,
It depends on how much work is involved or how long it is going to take you. With it being your first website for someone else I would not charge too much. I would say about £50. This way you are still doing your club member a favour, getting experience yourself and then you can start to charge more if you find you are asked again.

Best of luck
Muckster
