Hi, i wonder if you could help please. i'm trying to copy the tracks on a cd to my windows media player 10. i thought it was just a simple task of hilighting the tracks on the cd then copying or moving them to a specified folder and then getting the media player to move contents of the folder to the player list. but they don't show up as music tracks and windows is saying it does not what program created this. i'm sure i have done this before but remember how, using win xp, Thanks in advance.

Go to the 'Rip' tab, there you can select the tracks you want to copy, and where you want them copied too.
(Edit: My 2000th post, jeeez, I spend too much time on the Internet!! )

Thanks, but my problem is that the tracks are not showing up any thing idenifiable in the folder, ie: the album i'm trying to copy is Thin lizzy's hits. track 1, whisky in the jar, but in the folder it say nero showtime type 7/cda modified 31/12/1994. not as a playable track.

When you rip from a cd, it's not just copying the music, it's also recoding it into another format, (.mp3 .wma etc.) that is what is taking the time.
