Many online companies will add outrageous surcharges just to ship to N.Ireland from the mainland UK. Somebody has developed website here to highlight the problem. The site is still in its infancy but it is a great idea. There is a green list for companies who charge the standard rate or are free and a red list for the worst offenders. Check out the number one spot on the red list and the cost of shipping a memory card to N.Ireland! Not surprisingly, few companies have responded so far. Perhaps Web User mag could take up the banner and make a few enquiries. I know that many people like myself are fed up with the unjusifiable surcharges we can incur just to ship from the mainland to here.
someone should do a site for the rip off car insurance companies as well.
