Firefox - resume where you left off!
      #351302 - Sun Jun 03 2007 08:40 PM

Until one day when I forgot, I used to go through a rigmarole so that next time I booted up I resumed where I had left off with Firefox. I used to go Tools>Options>Main> Use current pages>OK. How many clicks is that?

If you don't do any of that but just shut down, next time you boot up, Firfefox politely tells you that your last session ended unexpectedly and 'do you want to resume where you left off? All you then need is ONE CLICK ......Can I have my £25 please ?
.

That's what happens if Firefox crashes (or if you don't close FF down properly). Strictly speaking, you should close the browser down properly before exiting!

Firefox can be made to open using the last session by going to, 'Tools > Options > Main' and setting the 'When Firefox starts' option to: 'Show my windows and tabs from last time'.

I have to say that I can't get this to work in my current Profile, even with all extensions disabled. It does work when using a new Profile though. I'm not sure why that is at present. Anyway, you could try that setting. Using extensions is another option. Here are a couple that can do it:

Tab Mix Plus - Session Manager

I have Session Fix

Adds an extra box when you close FF to "save session"

You're welcome, now you've got several options to choose from!
