iTunes - Cant Connect
      #351001 - Fri Jun 01 2007 09:31 PM

When I updated iTunes about 3 months ago, I could not reliably use Search. Although I could browse the store, if I used Search, it would say "Accessing iTunes Store" for about a minute, then complain that it could not detect an active network connection. "Please check your connection and try again" (i.e, it's your fault, not ours). I continued to browse and eventually after a number of goes it will work.

Now I upgraded to 7.2 today and this time, I cannot connect at all. As I write this, I am obviously online on an active connection which iTunes still cannot detect. I also realise, through all of the options, that there is now Network Connection option in the Preferences.

Help!!
Thanks!

As the program has updated your Firewall may think this is a new product trying to access the net and has blocked i-Tunes' access to the net.

Check the settings in your Firewall first.

OK, I am using Windows Firewall and iTunes is listed as one of the allowed programs. I can connect OK and browse the store - I just cant search.

Okay what I would look at is uninstalling iTunes completely from your PC and ensuring any traces of iTunes aren't remaining before you reinstall it.
