Google appears to contemplating standing on a few more toes in the coming months with it's acquisition of sandbox, Green Border.

A sandbox is a security mechanism for safely running programs. It is often used to execute untested code, or programs from unverified third-parties, suppliers and untrusted users, and is invaluable in the defense against malware.
This suggests it may go head to head with the likes of McAfee, Symantec et al in providing a more dynamic desktop security environment and may well be including in later version of the Google toolbar.
