This tip allows you to Google Search using the keyboard, without the need to use a mouse or your laptop's touchpad and works for Firefox 2 and Internet Explorer 7 users.
First you will need to install Google by keyboard. Select Google by Keyboard and click the Add button from the confirmation box.
Then choose Google by keyboard from the Search box in the top right of the browser window.
Type in a search into the Google bar and you will notice the following options have been added to the google results page.
You can now:
Scroll through the Google results using the J and K keys Open the selected result with the O or Enter Key. Click / to put the cursor in the search box and Escape to remove it.
Other useful tips:
Back a page using the Backspace Key Forward using Shift-Backspace. Move down a page of text with the space bar Up a page using Shift-Space.
The mouse gets a rest.
