Not sure if this is the right place to post but I am pulling my hair out with this one!
I have a Vodafone PAYT sim card that I have been using for a couple of years. I recently purchased a new hand set the Samsung E900 which has what I think is 3G internet access. However, I am having difficulty accessing the internet.
When I tries with the new sim card installed that came with the phone it was working fine but if I put in my old sim card it would not work. I installed some configuration settings that were sent me from the Vodafone website but that made no difference. I spoke to Vodaafone customer services and they suggested that I have just have my old number transferred to the new sim card which I did and there is still no joy though. I have again tried to install the configuration settings but still not working.
I have spoke to Vodafone customer services again but they seem to be unable to help me with this problem. Can anybody shed any light on this and tell me what I need to do to get onto the net?

Ask them to send you out a new sim card and get your number transferred to it before you do anything and then try it again.

Where did you buy the phone from? The phone may be set up for contract only, therefore, some of the phone functions may be only be set up for contract users. If you are PAYG, then you won't be able to access them.
Just a guess, as a similar thing is happening with my hubby's XDA orbit, he is on O2 PAYG and the device is only suitable for contract, so he can't access GPRS, or get the settings.
