Turbo Lister
      #347595 - Sun May 13 2007 07:24 PM

Hi. I am new to eBay. I am having a clearout and have about 30 items to list..
Would it be a good idea to use eBay's Turbo Lister? I am a bit on the slow side when preparing listings and the couple ot items I have put on so far have taken ages, so I would like to to be able to prepare items over a period of a week or so then actually put them on eBay altogether on a particular day. Many thanks.

I use Turbo Lister quite a bit. If you have loads of items you want listing you can just do a few a day and then list them all on Ebay at the same time.

Give it a go and see how you get on with it. Remember to save a template of your first listing, that way most of the important stuff like postage, payment etc is already pre-filled for your next listing, it saves the time of keep typing it out again.

If you want items to list en bulk on a certain day then I go with the Jedi and say go for Turbo Lister. You can use the Calculate Fees function to check costs, and there might be a cheapo day coming soon as it has been 2/3 weeks since the last one. Nothing yet, but rule of thumb says one is coming.

On the day of listing, if you are unsure, send one listing in first and check it out - happy with it? then bung the rest up. At worst you can revise them once on eBay, and using Turbo Lister means you will not get hit with an extra cost charged by eBay for holding listings start back until a certain day - 6p each I think.

Make sure that you alter the postage for each item, as you can get caught out if they differ.

One minus point, having 30 listings all finishing at the same time could mean either a lot of work in a small space of time IF you are lucky to sell a great deal, also on the negative tack, this can mean that if someone wants to buy a few bits off you, they won't be able to follow the listings as easily if they all finish together.

Maybe look at spacing them on 3, 5, 7 and 10 days, easy to do on Turbo Lister. Best day to finish - hard to say, but we find Friday's dead, Sundays okay but for some reason the early and midweek are usually good - generally finishing up to 10pm.

Once you have an item in UPLOAD you can Duplicate it and then use the copy to make the next one. Once they are up and running on eBay, you can download them back on to Turbo Lister - useful for the future if you have to relist.

Fees on eBay are given on:

Worth looking at. For auctions you can start up to 99p for 15p, up to £4.99 for 20p etc. Remember the gallery photo adds 15p, and use caution on other listing enhancements - some are not worth the cost.
