Will it start up in Safe Mode (from the Start/All Programs controls )?

Try uninstalling it first using CCleaner, then running CCleaner again to resolve any Issues (tab marked Issues and say Yes to everything).
Then delete all the Mozilla folders in C:\Program Files before reinstalling it.

If all else fails you may be able to use System Restore to go back to a time before it happened.

Maybe it's conflicting with another extension, or there could be something a bit faulty with the Profile. Perhaps Create an additional Profile and install Split Browser into that. Then install the other extensions one by one to see when (of if) the trouble recurs. Either that or disable the other extensions in the existing Profile, put Split Browser back and then re-enable the other extensions one by one to see when the trouble starts.

mart's site ...could be worse.
