If I go to a website, and right click on an image to set as background, this applies the image to the background as it should do. However on computer reboot, or even tidying up the icons (refreshing on the desktop), means that the background picture disappears replaced by a blue background. When I click on properties it says I have a modified theme. Only way around this is applying Windows XP theme and then going into desktop to put the picture back up again. This doesn't happen from saved pictures but from pictures that are saved as background from the internet. This never used to happen before. Is there some setting that is out of sync. This isn't a vital problem but pretty annoying.
When you Set an image as background from the internet, it saves it in a file under Application Data/Microsoft/Internet Explorer etc., when you do it again it overwrites this file as it should do. However this is not happening, if I refresh the icons, the picture disappears and I am left with a blue screen and a modified theme which is clearly wrong. I think the Set as Background function is pointing to the wrong file location and I need to know how to correct this (think this has happened because the file structure is a bit all over the place after two system recovery's). Any clues?
