Try this,

Go to start | Run
Type in msconfig and press enter

Click on the Startup tab

have a look in the Startup list and see if you see an entry for dit.exe, if you do, uncheck the box next to it, click Apply and then ok

Reboot your PC

if that solves your problem then delete dit.exe from your windows folder (and while you are at it you can delete dit.dll, dit.ini and ditxp.exe

If not, there are a couple of other things to try

Thank you very much for your advice. I am pleased to report that the problem has now been resolved. Thanking you again. Best regards.
PS As a matter of interest do you know what 'dit' is supposed to be as a program?

dit is a program frequently used by some card readers, primarily required to assign drive icons and names to flash memory cards.

Fortunately, XP handles it so much better, so you are better off leaving it out of the equation

Hi - I have the Windows - No Disk error "exception processing message c0000013 parameters 75b6bf9c 4 75b6bf9c 75b6bf9c" and I tried the steps below to no avail.
In your message you said there may be a couple other things I could try...what are they? Please help.

Thanks.
