Hi folks,
I have extracted a 20 second clip from a song using Audacity. It was intended for a music quiz so I exported it with an anonymous title, then uploaded it to an external fileshare facility.
I have now tried the link from another PC - it opens up OK in Windows Media Player, but it still shows the song title and composer (so no use me posting it and saying 'who is this then')
It's the first time I have used Audacity so it could well be my inexperience - or will it be impossible to disguise due to copyright?
Would welcome any suggestions or experiences.

The file that you have created, open it up in WMP and then click on library, then click on now playing in the left pane.
You will now see the title and artist in the middle window of WMP, right click on the text of the song and scroll down to Advanced Tag Editor.
A new window will pop up, from there you can change the track title, the album title and the artist.
Click APPLY then OK, then when you re launch the file you will notice the names will either read as unknown or whatever you wrote to replace the original text.

I love a simple answer (I was anticipating all sorts of angst!) - thank you very VERY much!
