I think this is a new feature on the CCleaner site, but you can now download from here too.

Using Madeline's link to the ccleaner site you're given a choice of three versions to install - Standard Build, 2652kb; Basic (no toolbar), 629kb or the Slim version (no toolbar, English only), 471kb - I've downloaded the final option (there is a warning that the last two are for system admin or advanced users!)

Has anyone looked at/installed these other versions?
I prefer the stock version Less all the yahoo toolbar and shortcut clutter

I downloaded the third option, the Slim version, doesn't look any different to the regular one, never had the toolbar before & definitely don't need any extra languages

I just got the Standard Build - 1st option. This is the same as the one you get on the FileHippo site. I didn't install the Toolbar.

I've just downloaded the latest version of CCleaner from the File Hippo site, as per usual, on downloading anything I run an antivirus and antispyware scan with AVG, on scanning with AVG antispyware I get a Malicious software warning for Dropper.pakes, Has anyone else seen this? when I choose to quarantine the file, the download is deleted from my PC.

That file is a false positive. More info here.

The author of CCleaner must have influence, it didn't take long for AVG to rectify the false positive. When a reputable website I download photoslide .exe files from experiences this, AVG takes weeks to acknowledge the mistake.

I downloaded the standard version from filehippo, without the toolbar and shortcuts.

After updating AVG antispyware the warning didn't reappear and the ccleaner was downloaded with no problems, Thanks all. Alan

I didn't see a warning about Dropper.pakes when I scanned with AVG Anti-Spyware after getting the latest version of CCleaner. Maybe this was because my AVG Anti-Spyware was up to date?
