List This In The Directory

Hello,

I have been trying to set up my printer for sharing. My printer is connected to my XP desktop.

I have selected the option 'Share this printer' and typed a share name.

I understand that I need to select the option 'List this in the directory'? However, I cannot find this option in the sharing tab.

Can anyone help me with this please?

I presume you want to share the XP's printer wirelessly? If so, on the other PC(s) go to Control Panel, Printers & Faxes, Add printer (Printers then Add on Vista) and follow the wizard.

I'm glad it's resolved. Did it take two weeks to determine it was a firewall problem?
