I have WMA tracks on my PC, of which, cannot be transfered onto my MP3 player because my player only supports MP3 files.
Are there any sites that let you download chart music in MP3 format only?
Everything seems to be AAC or WMA.
I know these formats are in competition with each other, but my MP3 player is in good working order, so why is it looking like I'm going to be forced into buying a new one soon just to support these other formats?

sounds like you need an audio converter, then you can download tracks in whatever format and convert them into MP3.
A google on "audio converter" will highlight a number of these for you to try.
I use dbPoweramp, which is very good, but it's not free.
A good free one which I have used is Audacity

Are you sure they can be converted though?
Most of these downloads are DRM protected.
I got mine from Tesco's website.

If they are DRM protected then you won't be able to convert them.

I would have thought with audacity you would have been able to convert them even with DRM

Anyone know of mp3 format only sites then?
Otherwise my mp3 player is somewhat redundant.

Im sorry if I have got the wrong end of the stick,but on Windows Media Player click on the down arrow underneath the RIP option a dropdown box will open,click on FORMAT and change the default option from WMA to MP3.I dont know if this will change music already ripped from your music library but if you RIP new music it will be stored in MP3 format. If you download WMP 11, tere is a tab you can press that converts all incoming music files to mp3. Good Luck
