Burning probllem
      #342319 - Sat Apr 07 2007 09:32 AM

When I try to burn music using Windows Media Player 11, it tells me to "connect a burner" despite having a built in CD/DVD Drive in my PC? I also have an external CD Drive and both of these have worked okay up till now.
I use Nero and Magix to burn and both of these work with no problems.
Can anyone help please?

Welcome to Web User message boards.

Click Start > RUN> type in Services.msc >Double click IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service> Turn it on let it load.

Try burning again.

Although to be honest, if you use Nero, there's really no point in using WMP for burning IMO.

Try uninstalling the drive from the device manager and reboot the PC.
